Secure Mail is a handy tool for encrypting the messages you send to your friends through email. This keeps your text safe from anyone else who might want to peek at it. With just a few simple steps, you can make sure your emails are protected from prying eyes.
So, how does it work? Secure Mail uses RSA-4096 bit asymmetric encryption. This creates a pair of public and private keys just for you. It lets you encrypt messages of any size, and you can even record audio messages in formats like AIFF, AU, or WAVE!
Your texts are encrypted using the AES-128 bit symmetric encryption algorithm. Plus, the passphrase is kept safe using the recipient's RSA public key file. There’s also a built-in checksum generator that helps you check if the RSA public key file is intact.
Once your message is all set and encrypted, it's time to send it! Just remember that Secure Mail currently only works with Gmail and allows up to three attachment files per email.
The application is super easy to learn! Its wizard-like interface will guide you through every step of encrypting your messages—from generating those key pairs to actually sending the email.
Your recipient can use Secure Mail too! They can easily decrypt their message right from their inbox. The app will automatically detect new unread messages with attachments and download them (these will include the encrypted messages and the public key). In just three simple steps, they can decode the email content!
I know what you're thinking: encrypting everything seems like a hassle! But trust me, once you get used to it, everything starts running smoothly.
Secure Mail gives you peace of mind when sending emails by ensuring they’re safe from unauthorized access. So why not give it a try? You can find more details and download Secure Mail here!
