What is SafariGestures FOR MAC?

SafariGestures is a handy tool that lets you control Safari with simple gestures. You can set commands right from the Safari Menu, and it even works with other plugins added to Safari, like SafariStand’s “History Flow.” How cool is that?

Default Commands and Gestures

The default commands and their gestures are pretty easy to remember:

History/Back: L

History/Forward: R

File/Close Tab: DR

View/Reload Page: UD

Understanding Directions for Gestures

The letters represent directions:

L → Left

R → Right

U → Up

D → Down

Setting Up SafariGestures

If you're ready to get started, here’s how to set it up:

Install SIMBL.

Quit Safari.

Move “SafariGestures.bundle” into your SIMBL plugin folder: /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins.
