Rocket is a cool little tool for your Mac that runs quietly in the background. It lets you use Slack-style emojis in any app you have on your computer. Pretty neat, right? You can easily browse through the emoji collection by hitting a trigger key and typing out the name of the emoji you want to use.

How Rocket Works

Once you fire up Rocket, it hangs out in your status bar. This makes it super easy to access its Preferences window whenever you need to update or quit the app. The menu doesn’t take up much space, but just a heads-up: you can’t completely hide it either.

Using Emojis with Ease

To get started with Rocket, all you need to do is use a special trigger key (":") in any app that supports emojis. When you do this, Rocket pulls up a search bar where you can see and pick your favorite emoji graphic!

Finding Your Favorite Emoji

Just remember, when you're searching for an emoji design, you'll need to type at least one character of its name. Rocket will suggest related images based on what you've typed. If you're curious about all the emojis available, there’s a full list online!

Tweaking Settings in Preferences

You can customize Rocket through its Preferences too! Want to change the look? Switch between light and dark themes! You can also modify the trigger key if ":" isn’t your thing. Plus, there’s an option to set which apps Rocket won’t work with by default—like Slack or Xcode.

Add Your Own Custom Emojis!

If you're feeling creative, Rocket lets you add custom emojis and even GIFs! Just point the app to the folder with your graphics, and it’ll quickly add everything from there.
