RightFont is a super handy macOS app that hangs out in your status bar. It lets you check out your whole font collection, including those you have in Adobe Photoshop and Sketch!
As soon as you launch RightFont, it pops up a little menu in your status bar. This makes it easy to show or hide the main panel of the app. Just a heads-up: when you first open it, be patient! RightFont takes a moment to scan your Mac for all the available fonts.
Once you're in the RightFont main window, you'll see every typeface installed on your Mac, along with previews of how they look. You can filter results by different criteria, which is pretty neat. Plus, there's a built-in search tool to help you find exactly what you're looking for.
If you want to star or unstar any typeface, just use its contextual menu—super simple! You can also jump right into the container folder where the font lives through Finder. This is awesome if you've got fonts stored in different places.
Diving into RightFont's Settings menu lets you change the font size from 30 to 120 points easily. And guess what? You can resize the RightFont panel by dragging it around! This way, you'll see all of your font preview text no matter how big or small you make it.
You can even customize what text shows up in the font preview area! While RightFont comes with some pre-made templates, adding your own text is a breeze.
Overall, RightFont offers an efficient way to view and find all those fonts installed on your Mac without slowing down what you're doing. With just one click, you can toggle the main window’s visibility again!
