How It Works:
ReadSpeed is a dedicated utility to assess the performance of mass storage devices. It provides an accurate and stable benchmarking software that creates a bootable USB drive to run benchmarks on your Windows computer.
Creating Bootable Drive:
No installation is necessary, but ReadSpeed requires administrator privileges to run. The bootable drive creator provides on-screen instructions to guide you through the process of creating the bootable drive. Simply plug in your USB drive and follow the steps to create the bootable disk.
Scanning and Evaluating Performance:
After launching ReadSpeed and booting from the USB drive, the software scans all storage devices and provides high-precision performance benchmarks for reading speed. It samples five locations to guarantee stability and accuracy.
Performance Analysis:
Once the test is completed, ReadSpeed displays a list of all drives, their sizes, names, locations, and performance scores. It also provides insightful notes to help identify any performance issues.
Although ReadSpeed does not provide a standalone application, creating a bootable USB drive is necessary to achieve the accuracy level it offers.
