Reaction Timer

Reaction Timer is a simple app that helps you test how fast your reactions are using just your keyboard. It starts counting randomly and when it does, you hit the spacebar as quickly as you can. This way, it tracks the time difference between when the timer starts and when you hit that key. The best part? It’s super easy to use, so even if you're not tech-savvy, you'll figure it out in no time!

Easy to Download and Use

The whole program is packed into a single .exe file. That means you can move it around on your computer or even stick it on a USB flash drive. You can run it on any computer without needing to install anything! Plus, it won’t mess with your system settings or create extra files unless you say so. If you decide you don’t want it anymore, just delete the file and it's gone.

User-Friendly Interface

When you open Reaction Timer, you'll see one window with everything laid out neatly: a button to start the timer, a display showing the time, a status bar, and an area where you can set how long before the countdown begins (in seconds). It’s all right there for you!

How It Works

To kick off the timer, just click that button. The app will start counting randomly and beep at you when it's time to press the spacebar. Once you do that, the countdown stops and voila! You’ll see your reaction time displayed in seconds and milliseconds.

No Progress Tracking

You have two choices after that: exit or start another countdown. One thing to keep in mind though is that Reaction Timer doesn't save your reaction times over different sessions. So if you're looking to track progress over time, this might not be for you.

This app might look basic at first glance but trust me—it’s straightforward and perfect for anyone wanting to measure their reaction speed without distractions or complicated settings. During our tests, we found it used very little CPU and RAM too!
