Description
RDMon
RDMon is a super simple tool that helps you set up Firewall rules to block certain IP addresses from accessing your PC through Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). It's really easy to use, even if you're not a tech whiz!
Portable and Easy to Use
The best part? You don’t have to install it on your computer! Just run the executable file, and you're good to go. But don't forget, RDP needs to be enabled for it to work. Since RDMon is a portable application, you can carry it around on a USB drive or other memory devices. This means you can use it on any computer without leaving any trace behind when you unplug it.
Running in the Background
Once you've set up your Firewall and RDP, launch RDMon. It will start minimized in your notification area so it won’t get in the way while you're working on other stuff.
Blocking Attacks Made Easy
If you get an alert about an attack, just open RDMon's main window. You'll see a list of ‘Detected Attacks’. Click on the IP address that's causing trouble and hit ‘Add IP to Block List’. For this rule to take effect, you'll need to restart your Firewall—which you can do straight from RDMon with one click!
Keep Your System Safe
As time passes and more attacks happen, you'll want to keep updating the ‘Blocked IP Ranges’ list. This way, you can permanently stop future attempts from those pesky addresses.
Your Security Partner
All in all, RDMon is a handy tool that boosts your protection when connecting remotely through RDP. So if you're looking for an easy way to secure your PC from unwanted access, give RDMon a try!
