Description
RadioCAT
RadioCAT is a fun little widget made for Yahoo! Widgets (you might remember it as the Yahoo! Widget Engine or even Konfabulator). This tool was super popular because it gave Catalans easy access to over 110 radio stations. How cool is that?
Accessing Radio Stations with RadioCAT
Even though you can still grab this widget from Softpedia, and it works just fine on Windows 10, there’s a bit of a bummer: the radio stations don’t load anymore. But don't worry! You can still click on those station icons to check out their websites directly. Just keep in mind that since this is an older product, some of those websites might not even be running anymore.
User Interface and Features
The interface is mostly in Spanish and has a neat layout where you can see buttons arranged in a matrix view. They’re sorted by category: general radio, music, local stations, and more. You'll find just two buttons for playback: one to play the station and another to stop it.
Navigating Station Websites
If you're looking to visit those station websites, it’s super easy! Just click on the station's cover in the playback area (not from the list). This takes you right where you need to go!
Configuration Settings
When it comes to settings, RadioCAT gives you standard Yahoo! Widgets options too. You can set the window level—normal or always on top—and decide whether to ignore mouse actions or prevent dragging. Plus, you can adjust opacity levels! Cool, right? RadioCAT also lets you pick from three different themes that change how big those station covers look.
Looking for Alternatives?
If you're feeling like trying something else since RadioCAT isn’t working anymore, no worries! There are some great alternatives out there that don’t rely on Yahoo! Widgets. Check out myTuner, TrayRadio, or ProgDVB. They all have awesome features too!

-
RadioCAT offers a nostalgic experience with its Spanish interface and matrix view. However, the non-functional radio stations limit its utility.
