I enjoy the fact that nowadays a lot of problems can be solved by simply "going online." Sometimes, I enjoy the fact that I don't have to install a desktop app just to solve a simple job.

Take PDF manipulation for instance. You could opt to install a comprehensive PDF editor on your computer, but for simple jobs, it's a lot easier to just hop online and find a web app that gets the job done easier and faster.

Still, there are some advantages of local apps (better privacy, for starters, and they're also usually faster).

As its name clearly states, Quick PDF Join is an app that... errr - joins PDFs. So basically, it's a stripped-down PDF editor meant to do one thing, and one thing only.

As is the case with most simple apps, the GUI is also simple. The app's main window consists of a simple preview area (that displays the loaded documents), and four buttons.

In terms of features, you get just the basics. You can add and remove PDFs (as well as clear the list altogether), and that's really about it. Other than that the whole process is pretty automated.

The app takes care of compression all by itself, as well as joining together PDFs that have different structures. The resulting files are automatically saved in your system's Documents folders.

The whole point of this app is to be fast. Hence, it shouldn't come as a surprise that you're not provided with much control over the results. That's totally fine, especially in cases when you just want to stitch together a couple of PDFs that are pretty much the same.

For anything else, you will have to look for other, more comprehensive, PDF editing solutions (and this includes joining PDFs). Don't get me wrong. It's a good app, but it's limited in what it can do.
