Quiccent is a handy tool for anyone who needs to type letters with accents, also known as diacritics or glyphs. You know, those little marks that can change how a letter sounds? When you're writing on your computer, you might need special keyboard layouts or key combos to get these letters. But if you want something simpler, Quiccent has got your back!

Quick Setup and Easy Access

Once you install Quiccent, it hangs out in your system tray. It's super low-key because there's no fancy interface to navigate through. Instead, you'll use the 'tilde' key (~) with the base letter to create the accented characters you need.

How to Use Quiccent

To make it work, just hold down the base letter key while tapping the ~ key repeatedly until you see what you're looking for. Want it in all caps? Just hold shift along with your character and keep using the 'tilde' key to cycle through your options! You can also hit Caps Lock if that's easier.

Customizing Your Experience

No interface means it's all about simplicity, but Quiccent does have a small dashboard feature. If there are certain characters you don't want to cycle through, just right-click on the tray icon and choose the first option. From there, you'll see all the supported letters and can exclude any that aren't helpful for you.

Excluding Characters Made Easy

If you want to remove a character from cycling, select it and click on the red hyphen button. If you change your mind later and want it back, find it in the exclusion list and hit the green plus button!
