QFinder Pro is a cross-platform utility designed to help users and network administrators find and configure NAS storage. It is available for Mac, Windows, and Ubuntu, serving as a reliable solution for individuals and companies that work with multiple platforms and would benefit from adaptable solutions.
The app allows you to find and access all QNAP NAS storage devices available on the same local area network. Just launch it, and it should immediately start scanning for devices and list results in the main window. Here, you can see their name, IP, type, version, MAC address, and status. You can also add devices manually by providing the required connection details.
The Media Upload feature is designed to help you reduce NAS resource usage by handling media transcoding on your local machine before files are uploaded to the NAS. You also have a resource monitor for managing resource usage. QFinder Pro can be used to wake up devices remotely, as long as they support this feature.
From the app’s preferences, you can configure double-click behaviors on online and offline devices, as well as specify which reminders should be provided to the user. Similarly, reminders can be configured for Thunderbolt and USB QuickAccess.
