QBlocker is a handy little tool that helps you manage your app quitting habits. You know how easy it is to accidentally close an app with the Command + Q shortcut? Well, with QBlocker, you can take control of that!
The cool thing about this software is that it sets a delay for the Command + Q shortcut. So, if you ever find yourself hitting those keys too quickly, QBlocker has your back! It requires you to hold down the keys longer before an app closes. This way, you avoid those frustrating moments when you're in the middle of something important.
When you first download QBlocker, it prompts you to head over to the Accessibility panel in System Preferences. Here, you'll need to give QBlocker permission to control your computer. Don’t worry; it’s super easy! Just follow a couple of steps and relaunch the app.
You get to choose whether you want to block Command + Q for all apps or just for specific ones. Want some apps to stay quick-access while blocking others? No problem! You can easily access and modify this list from the QBlocker status bar menu whenever you want.
It’s worth noting that even though QBlocker changes how Command + Q works, it doesn’t completely disable the hotkey. Instead, you'll just have to hold down those keys a bit longer to make them work as usual.
If at any point you try quitting an app while using QBlocker, it’ll pop up a notification right on top of your current window. This little alert will remind you what you need to do next—like holding down those keys a bit longer!
No more accidental quits! With QBlocker, you'll keep your workflow smooth and uninterrupted while saving yourself from those annoying mishaps.
