PureMonitor is a neat little app designed for Mac users who work with PureBasic. It helps you keep track of how much CPU and memory your projects are using. If you're diving into programming with PureBasic, this tool can be super handy!
When you launch PureMonitor, it sets up a small menu icon in your status bar. This icon shows all the important info you need right at your fingertips. Plus, with the PureBasic tools, you can make it open or close automatically based on whether you're working on a project or not.
The status bar icon gives you real-time stats about CPU usage, how many threads are running, and how much memory is being used. If you're curious about open files or sockets, just check out the app panel!
PureMonitor lets you set limits for CPU and memory usage. If those limits get exceeded, you'll get both visual and audio alerts to let you know something's off. And if your PureBasic app freezes up while you're debugging? No worries! This tool can help you shut it down safely.
This application even has a Live Log panel where you can see all the monitored data in real-time! You can easily export this info to your Documents folder for some extra analysis later on.
A quick note: PureMonitor grabs usage data every second for the first 10 seconds to give you an accurate start-up view. Then it shifts to grabbing data every 10 seconds for the next 50 seconds before switching to once every minute.
If you're using PureBasic tools, PureMonitor integrates smoothly so that you can see those usage stats as you're coding away! It'll record details about CPU load, threads in action, and memory needs while allowing log exports directly to your disk.
