Description

Precision Gaze Mouse

If, for some reason, you find using a regular mouse difficult, you can try devices that track head or eye movements to help you move the cursor. There are applications that use both types of devices, both of which come with their pros and cons.

Head tracking devices give you the best precision, but they are not suitable for quick movements and can be tiring to use. Gaze tracking devices, on the other hand, allow you to instantly move the cursor to another area of the screen but make it difficult to perform small adjustments.

Key Features:

  • Open-source program

  • Input from gaze and head tracking devices

  • Customization options

Precision Gaze Mouse is an open-source program that can use input from gaze and head tracking devices to give you the best of both worlds. You can use only a single device, but both are recommended to ensure the best results.

Assuming both devices are used, the application uses gaze tracking to make large cursor movements, but it will ignore further input from this device unless you look outside a circle with a 1-4 cm radius. In order to make smaller movements within this area, the program uses input from a head tracking device.

When it comes to customization options, you can choose which of your available devices should be used, as well as specify whether or not the warp bar or gaze tracker should be displayed.
