PPRows is a handy tool that helps you count the lines of code in your projects. Knowing how many lines of code you have can give you a good idea of how complex a program is and how much effort went into building it. While it's not the only way to measure productivity, it's useful for both developers and companies trying to manage their workload.
With PPRows, counting lines of code is super easy! You just drag and drop your files or folders right into the app. It even has basic filtering options that let you leave out certain file types if you want.
The app features a simple window where you can drop files or folders to see the total number of lines in your project. If you're checking out a folder, it also shows how many code files are inside. And if you add more than one directory at once, you'll get both the total line count and a breakdown by folder.
Want to analyze another project? Just drop a new folder in the main window! The calculations happen pretty fast, but it does depend on how much data you're working with.
Before diving into your project analysis, you can choose which file types to include in your counts. This means if you're only interested in one programming language, you can easily filter out everything else!
If there are certain subfolders you don't want included—like that pesky Pods directory in iOS projects—you can ignore them too! Just type in the name of the folder and hit Enter.
While PPRows might not have all those fancy features that some other counters offer, it's perfect for developers who need an easy way to tally up their code lines. If this sounds like something you'd find useful, check out PPRows here!
