POP is a super simple app made just for Mac OS X users. It helps you see the coolest and most interesting posts from your Twitter account right in a little panel on the menu bar. Plus, if you find something you love, you can easily retweet it using the tweet feature built into OS X.
Once you download and install POP, it will ask to use your Twitter account. After you give it permission, an icon will pop up on your system bar. Just click that icon, and a small window opens up where you can check out all the interesting links from your Twitter feed.
The interface is clean and easy to understand. You’ll see the profile icon of the Twitter user, along with their name and tweet text. Your own Twitter icon appears at the top too, but clicking on it doesn’t do anything—kind of funny, right?
What’s neat about POP is how it picks links based on what’s popular. If something catches your eye, there’s a retweet button that shows up when you hover over it. Retweeting is super easy thanks to OS X’s built-in tweet function!
In short, POP is incredibly straightforward and super easy to use. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to focus only on the most interesting tweets without any extra fluff in their feed. And guess what? It’s totally free! Plus, it hardly uses any system resources at all.
