There are a lot of finance and budget tracking tools which can be used as a desktop app or as an online service. Nonetheless, there are very few of them capable of generating a financial projection to help you plan ahead and to get a general idea of when you will be able to reach your goals.

PocketSmith is a macOS utility which helps you monitor your earning and spending, as well as create and keep up with custom budgets to save money easier.

It's also important to mention that, if you have the Premium plan, PocketSmith also makes it very easy to connect your bank accounts effortlessly, while also using two-factor authentication to keep them secure, right from the start-up checklist, so you will not need to go hunting for the import option.

If you decide to use the Basic free plan, you can track up to 12 budgets at a time, using two accounts, and view financial forecasts of up to six months.

PocketSmith also features a Budgets & Reports module which helps you get a grip of your income and expenses, and to get quick net worth and cash flow reports for a future or historical monthly financial overview.

On the whole, PocketSmith is a comprehensive application designed to assist you when planning budgets, create cash flow and net worth reports, as well as view a financial forecast for preparing ahead to accomplish your financial goals.
