PixRenamer selects all pictures in the target folder by default, and in case you don’t understand why selection is not possible, a prompt shows up to inform you how it can be done. Moving your attention to the settings panel, lets you manage several file filters, like format selection, all of a specific type, or manual selection.

Moreover, a dedicated field is there for you to specify a new name. You can configure an automatic numbering filter with options to customize the length of the numerical value, used characters, and more. There's also the possibility to convert extension font to lowercase or uppercase.

Unfortunately, there’s no built-in preview panel, and neither the option to open pictures for preview, so you need to make sure you know which to rename. However, there is a panel that enlists files according to the new name, but this isn’t done in real time.
