We didn't run into problems extracting text from the matrices. However, only a low-res version of your original image seems to get saved in Pixeloid. You can increase how many pixels are saved in the matrix, but be careful—it might mess with the image quality.

Potential Issues

A couple of things to watch out for: sometimes the app freezes when you try to encode an image after processing some text in the same session. Also, if you're saving PNG files in a matrix, you'll lose all transparency—which makes it tricky for certain types of images.
