Picture Hanger is a super easy app that helps you find the right height to hang your picture frames. No more guessing! It’s all about making your wall look great without any hassle.

How Does Picture Hanger Work?

This app has some really simple options that you can set up quickly. All you need to do is measure your frame and the walls, and you’re good to go!

Compatibility with Devices

Since Picture Hanger is a Metro app, it works well on both desktops and mobile devices with touch support. Just make sure you have Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 installed, and you’re in business!

No Internet? No Problem!

You don’t even need an internet connection to use it! Picture Hanger runs perfectly offline, so you can make your calculations anytime.

Getting Started with Measurements

To kick things off, measure the outside edges of your photo frame. Also, check the distance from the top of the picture to the hanger (which should be in the center). If there’s a wire on the back, pull it tight toward the center for accuracy.

Calculating Picture Placement

Once you've got those measurements down, hit that “Calculate Picture Placement” button at the bottom left of the window. Then choose where on your wall you'd like to place it and measure how many inches from the floor are suggested by the app.

Optional Settings for Precision

If you're aiming for a specific height for your picture, just enter how far from the floor to the top of your frame you'd like it to be.

Centering Your Artwork

If you want your picture centered perfectly on your wall, input either its width or height (or both!) into Picture Hanger. The app will show you exactly how far from the floor everything is.

Screenshots & Sharing Options

The only downside? You can't copy or save info directly as files just yet. However, Picture Hanger integrates nicely with Windows share charm. So if you take a screenshot of what you've got planned, it's easy to send that image over to any Modern UI app.
