PeRKy FOR LINUX



PeRKy is an open-source and completely free command-line software implemented in Python. It is designed to be used for managing application requirements with any SCM (Source Control Manager) as the storage layer. The software is created by Guillaume Lemaître.

Usage Instructions:


To transform an input file on standard output, use the main command followed by one of the available options:



  • 'split' for searching PRK-REQ marks in the file and outputting it in a different file

  • 'merge' for searching PRK-INC marks and merging with the normal output

  • 'yield' for searching PRK-INC marks and merging and formatting the file with the standard output



Additional Options Include:



  • 'boost' option for outputting all requirements introduced by the given file, one per line

  • 'cross' option for outputting a direct traceability matrix

  • 'track' option for outputting all requirements referenced by the file, one per line



To start using PeRKy on your GNU/Linux operating system, follow these steps:



  1. Download the latest version from Softpedia

  2. Save the archive on your computer

  3. Unpack the archive

  4. Open a terminal emulator software

  5. Navigate to the Src directory by using the command 'cd /home/softpedia/prk-1404190/Src'

  6. Run the 'prk.py' command
