pCleaner is a compact and easy-to-use software utility that deletes traces from your computer and frees up some space in the process. First-time users should experience no issues in figuring out how to work with this tool.
After a brief and uneventful setup procedure that does not require special attention, you are greeted by a standard window with a plain and simple layout, where you can select the items you want to clear.
pCleaner covers Real Player, Media Player, recent documents and Recycle Bin, along with Internet Explorer history, address bar, autocomplete formats, user names and passwords.
It is also possible to save the selection as default for further tasks. From the Settings panel you can enable pCleaner to automatically clear the selected areas before Windows shutdown, to save options as default on exit, and to automatically run at system startup. It minimizes to the system tray area, so the utility is not intrusive.
pCleaner runs on low-to-moderate quantity of CPU and RAM, therefore it shouldn't put a strain on the computer's performance. It has a good response time and finishes a clean job rapidly. We have not encountered any difficulties throughout our evaluation, since the tool did not hang or crash. However, pCleaner has not been updated for a very long time.
