Description

Papyrus

Papyrus is a handy note-taking app that's getting more attention as everyone loves to have important info at their fingertips. With mobile devices being everywhere, it’s super easy to manage your notes on the go. Papyrus aims to give you a straightforward and secure way to handle your memos, but honestly, it’s still got some growing to do.

First Impressions of Papyrus

When you first open the app, you get to pick between a classic interface or a modern one made for touchscreens. Now, while the modern look is sleek and has some cool features, using it without a touchscreen can be tricky. Since most Mac users don’t have touchscreens, it makes you wonder why that option is even there!

User-Friendly Classic Interface

If you choose the classic interface, you'll find it's pretty easy to navigate. It’s split into three main panels: on the left side, you can search and filter notes by labels or dates. The middle section shows all your notes that match what you're looking for, and on the right side, you can view and edit your selected note.

Creating Notes and To-Do Lists

Papyrus lets you whip up regular notes and to-do lists too! But here’s the catch: switching between these two isn’t as smooth as it could be. You have filters available for different types of papers, but they don’t really work like you'd expect.

Adding Images and Drawing Tools

You can attach images to your notes! However, they only pop up when you're using that modern interface we talked about earlier. Plus, this mode comes with basic drawing tools too and lets you share your notes via email.

Storing Your Data Safely

Papyrus stores your data in the cloud and can sync notes through Dropbox. You can also back up everything locally if that’s what you prefer!

Keeping Your Info Private

Your privacy matters! That’s why Papyrus lets you set a password so others can't snoop around in your private notes. You’ll need this password every time you start the app.

Final Thoughts on Papyrus

Overall, Papyrus shows promise but still feels like it's in its early days of development. It has potential but needs more features before it can compete with popular note managers out there. If you're curious about trying it out or want more details about Papyrus, check out Softpas!
