Description

Paperwork

Paperwork is a cool little app available for Windows and Linux. This lightweight software can scan your documents and turn them into images. Plus, it lets you open graphic files from your hard drive, so you can check everything out in one place. You can tweak things a bit before printing or saving those files in different formats!

Easy Setup and Scanning

The setup is super quick and easy, so you won't run into any issues. Once you're all set up, you'll see the main app window where you can adjust scanner settings before grabbing those documents. If you've got multiple scanners hooked up to your PC, you can choose which one to use. You can also pick the resolution and where to save your scanned files. And guess what? You can preview the picture while calibrating too!

Importing Files Made Simple

If scanning isn't what you need right now, Paperwork has got your back! You can ask it to search for files on your hard drive to import. While it doesn't specify all supported file types, our tests show it works with PNG, JPEG, and PDF formats. You'll be able to see thumbnails of all files in the current directory. Want to bring in new pictures from other folders? Go ahead! You can even create a list of your favorite images.

Organize Your Images Like a Pro

To keep everything neat and tidy, Paperwork lets you change the dates when photos were added. You can even create color labels and add extra keywords to help find images using its built-in search feature if OCR doesn’t work perfectly. Plus, images can be cropped, rotated, and enhanced with automatic color equalization.

Savvy Saving Options

Once you're happy with how everything looks, just print those scanned images or save them as PNG or JPEG! Before saving, you’ll get options for page format, simplification mode, and quality settings.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

Now, we did notice that Paperwork had some slow moments on Windows 10 when loading files or doing basic commands after clicking menus or buttons. It also had some hiccups with color labels not applying correctly. So yeah, Paperwork could use a bit more polish to be more stable overall.

But despite these quirks, it still packs a decent punch with features for scanning documents using OCR technology along with some minor image adjustments and PDF export options.Download Paperwork now!
