Description

Pack Attachments

If you're a Microsoft Outlook user looking to free up some email space, Pack Attachments is a great option for you! This handy add-in makes it super easy to find email attachments and compress them into ZIP archives. Plus, it doesn't need much setup and integrates with MS Outlook in no time.

Getting Started with Pack Attachments

To kick things off, you'll first need to set up your Outlook account. Once that's done, you can choose which folders to scan for attachments. You can select from your inbox, drafts, sent items, trash, archives, deleted messages—pretty much anywhere!

How It Works

Next up, just let Pack Attachments do its thing! It will take some time to find and process all those attachments so it can create those ZIP archives for you. Before you start this process, there are a couple of settings you might want to tweak. For example, you can allow the tool to keep going even if it bumps into errors and give it permission to decrypt secure messages.

Your New ZIP Files

Once everything's done, check out your emails! You'll see that any attached files are now zipped up in neat little packages called "attachments.zip." Just a heads-up though—there's no way to rename these new ZIP files as part of the process.

Advanced Features

The developer has mentioned some cool options like filtering attachments by mask or creating separate archives if there are multiple files attached. However, these features are actually part of another version called ReliefJet Essentials.

User Experience

From our tests, Pack Attachments does a fantastic job at compressing email attachments quickly and works smoothly with Microsoft Outlook 2016. We didn't run into any hiccups during our trials. It's fast and user-friendly! But keep in mind that the free version doesn't offer too many customization options during the compression process—this might be a bit disappointing for users who want more control.
