This app really shines when you're using media players that don’t have the option to prevent the screensaver or sleep mode. If you're like me, sometimes you need to track things without touching your mouse or keyboard. That’s where Owly comes in!

User-Friendly Design

The cool thing about Owly is that it hangs out in your Mac’s status bar. From there, you can check out its menu and see a countdown timer for how long it’ll keep your Mac awake. You can set it for different time periods—like 5, 10, 15, or even up to 5 hours! How convenient is that?

Custom Settings and Hotkeys

If you need it to stay awake longer than usual, you can activate it for “Eternity” with a hotkey you define in the Preferences window. Plus, there's an option to set a default timer for sleep prevention or even hide the Dock icon if that’s more your style.

Countdown Timer Feature

Once it's running, Owly shows a countdown next to its icon so you'll know exactly how much time is left before your Mac goes back to sleep. You can also toggle this timer on or off and set Owly to start automatically whenever you log in.

Status Indicator

A neat feature is that the menu bar icon turns red when Owly is active—it’s a quick way to see if it's still doing its job! And here’s something great for MacBook users: you can configure it so your Mac will go back to sleep if the battery drops below a certain level. Smart right?
