Easy Setup and Use

Once you launch Oversetter on your Mac, it adds its own little icon in the status bar. Just click on it, paste in the phrase you want to translate, and hit ENTER on your keyboard. Easy peasy!

Platform Availability

This tool is built using Angular and Electron, so it’s pretty reliable. Right now, you can only download it for macOS. But don’t worry! The developer plans to roll out versions for Windows and Linux later on, so everyone can join in.

Get Your Yandex API Key

You will need to sign up for a free Yandex Translate API key to get started. If you’re short on time, no stress! Oversetter gives you a default key for testing purposes until you're ready.

A Wide Range of Languages

The cool part about Oversetter? It lets you translate between nearly 100 languages! You’ve got the classics like English, French, Spanish, and German covered. Plus some unique options like Welsh, Yiddish, and Hill Mari!

No Spell Check? No Problem!

While we found that Oversetter worked flawlessly during our tests, keep in mind that it doesn’t have built-in spell check. Also, it remembers what you translated before but clears out the source text field after a while.
