What is OpenedBar?

OpenedBar

OpenedBar is a free and user-friendly panel tool that's kind of like what you see in Outlook and Visio. It's perfect if you're looking for something simple to help manage your projects!

Getting Started with OpenedBar

Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Add the reference from your project to the OpenedBar library. You’ll need the file 3VSoft.OpenedBar.dll.

  2. Next, include the Bar component in whatever control you want to use it in.

  3. Create a new component that inherits from Item. Make sure to redefine the method OnPaint, and add any extra functionality you need, like handling size changes or mouse events.

  4. You can fill your panel with elements and folders using methods like Bar.AddItem, Bar.AddFolder, Folder.AddItem, and Folder.AddFolder. Use your custom class that you created based on Item.

  5. Don’t forget to handle the event Bar.ActiveItemChanged, which triggers when you click an item on the panel.

  6. The next steps will depend on what tasks you're working on!
