Ntfs-config project can enable/disable NTFS write support with a simple click. After years of development, a new NTFS driver with full safe write capability is coming named ntfs-3g. The driver status is still beta, but the read/write feature is stable and is already used by thousands of people worldwide. The main struggle for people is configuring their system to be able to use it. The aim of the ntfs-config project is to make people's lives easier by providing an easy way to enable/disable write capability for all their devices, internal or external.

  • Automatic detection of non-configured NTFS partitions

  • Enable/disable write support for internal devices

  • Enable/disable write support for external devices



Requirements:



  • ntfs-3g

  • GTK+ version 2.6.x

  • libglade

  • hal



What's New in This Release:



  • Fix: improve support for systems with udev < 60

  • Fix: improve support for md (soft raid) devices

  • Fix: label wasn't parsed correctly when containing special characters

  • Fix: parsing label and fs type on old systems (old udev, no vol_id)
