Once you install Notes+, it sets up shop right in your OS X status bar. This means you can pull it up with just a click, keeping your notes always within reach! No more searching through folders or apps!

Straightforward Interface

The app has a clean and simple design that makes taking notes feel like a breeze. You’ve got two main menus: one for your notes and another for your favorites. Plus, there are buttons at the top right for settings or adding new notes, and a search box at the bottom to find what you're looking for quickly.

Startup & Hotkeys

You can even set Notes+ to launch when your computer starts up, which is super convenient. Want to pull it up faster? Just hit a hotkey combo, and voilà! Your notes are right there.

Bugs & Workarounds

However, we did notice some quirks while testing on different Macs with OS X 10.10 and 10.9. Sometimes it wouldn’t add new notes or mark favorites as expected. But don’t worry! You can usually fix this by closing and reopening the window with just two clicks.

Missing Features

It would be great if Notes+ had an export function so you could back up your notes easily or share them via email with friends or colleagues. We hope the developers will consider adding these features soon!

All things considered, while Notes+ isn’t packed with every feature under the sun, its charm lies in its simplicity. It focuses on being useful without getting in the way—perfect for those who want an unobtrusive note-taking experience.
