Not everyone loves the notch on the new MacBook Pro, but it's certainly a distinguishing feature. So what if you want to be one of the cool kids, but you don't have any more kidneys to trade for the latest MacBook? Well, you fake it!
You love your Touch Bar, your double-typing butterfly keyboard, and all things Intel. You don't need Apple's new processors, industry-leading performance, or ludicrous battery life. But oh, do you want that notch. It's just distracting enough to remind you that you're better than all the other peasants, and you must have it.
Well, lucky you. Just download Notch Simulator, fire it up, and enjoy your now notched screen. You didn't need that part of the menu bar anyway. If anything, it helps you avoid distractions from icons near the middle of the status bar, since it just covers them up.
Ensure your privacy with the option to simulate a fake camera in the notch
Additional security feature with super-blocking tape to prevent spying
You can make the notch five times larger, enough to cover a good chunk of the menu bar and desktop, and almost big enough to fill that void in your heart. All Apple fanboys within 100 yards will promptly smash their MacBooks and switch to Windows.
There you have it. Scientific proof that notches are good for you. If you already have a 2021 MacBook Pro with a notch, another notch can't hurt. And if you have a Mac mini, you'll have the first ever notched external monitor. Just get the app.
