Nimble Commander

Nimble Commander (formerly known as Files) is a super handy macOS app that lets you easily browse your drive with a cool dual-pane interface. It's minimalist but really effective!

Easy Dual-Pane Browsing

The main window of Nimble Commander is split into two sections. This means you can look at two different places on your hard drive at the same time. Pretty neat, right?

Quick Navigation and Sharing

At the top of each section, there's a simple drop-down menu that helps you jump around different folders quickly. Plus, there's a small share button in each area so you can send whatever you've selected directly to Mail or Messages.

Disk Space and Item Info

If you look at the bottom toolbar, you'll see the name of your current drive along with how much free space is left. It even shows the size and creation date for the item you're looking at. If you've selected more than one file, it will show their combined size too.

Basic File Management Made Easy

Nimble Commander makes it easy to perform basic actions like browsing directories, moving files around, copying items, sorting them by different criteria, revealing hidden files, renaming items, and compressing stuff.

Advanced Features for Power Users

This app doesn't stop there! It has a file attributes editor and a viewer that lets you see text and hex formats. You can also connect to FTP and SFTP servers or even work in admin mode for root access to your local filesystem.
