If you've got an older version, like 1.x.x.x, updating is a breeze! Just download the update file and toss that zip file into your N-CAT installation directory. After that, extract the files by clicking on "Extract here." Don't forget to confirm when it asks about overwriting files!

Installing Over an Existing Version

You can also run the installer to update over your current N-CAT 1.X.X version. But watch out! Make sure you don't overwrite your built-in database file called COLL0.FDB. The installer will give you a heads-up about this, so pay attention!
