What is Mythtv?

MythTV is a cool tool that started as a Vista Sidebar gadget. Its main job? To show you what's happening with your MythTV server. You can check things like the encoder status, guide data, disk space, and even see what's coming up next in your recordings!

Check Your Encoder Status

This handy gadget connects to your MythTV server and pulls in all sorts of useful info. For starters, you can see the encoder status, which tells you if it's busy or just chilling out (idle). That way, you know if it's ready for more tasks.

Keep an Eye on Listings

Another feature is the listings status. This shows how many days of data you have and when the last mythfilldatabase run was. If your days of data drop below a certain limit, it'll even turn red to grab your attention!

Disk Space Overview

You can also check how much disk space is used versus what's free. This helps you manage your storage without any hassle.

Your Upcoming Recordings

The gadget gives you a peek at your upcoming recordings too! Just keep in mind it only shows the first three because there isn't much room on the sidebar.
