MyPSN is a handy tool that acts like an unofficial desktop client for My Playstation. With it, you can easily connect to your PS account and keep up with your friends without the hassle of using a web browser.
When you use MyPSN, you get all the same features as the official web service. The cool part? You can access everything right from your desktop! This means no more switching between tabs or dealing with a bunch of windows.
Getting started is a breeze! After a quick setup that won’t give you any headaches, just enter your My Playstation credentials in the main app window. This will link the app to your account, and you're good to go!
One thing to keep in mind is that if you're already logged into your PS account through a web browser, the app won’t automatically find your login info. Once you’re set up though, you can easily check out your profile, see friends online, and browse trophies—just like on the My Playstation web service.
You can also add new friends and manage friend requests right from the app. Plus, you'll get notifications about what’s happening with your friends. However, there are some limitations: you can't edit your profile or change privacy settings through this app.
Another thing worth mentioning is that the main window takes over your whole screen and can't be resized or minimized to the taskbar until you close it. It’s a bit annoying at times, but hey—it’s still pretty new software! There's definitely room for growth and improvements.
