Easy Database Management

The interface for MyChurchManager is pretty straightforward. It looks like an expanding window filled with icons that cover different topics, all neatly tucked under various tabs. Each icon opens up another window where you can access different databases to store your info. Navigating this app is easy, but filling it out might take time, especially for larger churches. An import feature would definitely make things quicker!

User Interface Issues

One downside is the toolbar at the top of the application—it doesn't work! The File, Edit, View, and Options buttons are just there looking pretty but don’t actually do anything. That’s a bit of a letdown because otherwise, the interface works well. It would be nice to have some customization options too—like changing that plain white background to something more vibrant!

Information Overlap Problems

You’ll notice that MyChurchManager has separate sections for individuals, groups, and families. The problem? You have to enter people’s info multiple times: once as an individual and again as part of their family unit. There’s no way to link this information across sections or auto-fill data you've already entered elsewhere.

Birthday Input Issues

This issue sticks out even more when it comes to birthdays! You have to re-enter everyone in the system just to note their birth dates—super frustrating! With congregations often having over 100 members, this redundancy makes managing your data tougher than it should be.

A Need for Improvement

Honestly, considering users can make their own custom databases with something as simple as a spreadsheet, MyChurchManager has some catching up to do. It misses the mark in several areas that could really help with church organization. For those looking for better ways to manage their church tasks, this software might not be the best fit.
