Description
my41cx is an RPN calculator emulator that offers you the possibility to use the HP-41C, HP-41CV or HP-41CX models from the comfort of your desktop. These type of calculators use the Reverse Polish mathematical notation that places the operator after all the operands.
The my41cx interface and functionalities can easily change to match any on the three supported models, but keep in mind that you need to restart the application for the changes to be applied.
Just navigate to the my41cx Preferences window and select the model you want to employ. The same area offers you the possibility to synchronize the calculator and the system clock.
You can also choose to browse the built-in collection of HP-41 MOD expansion packs and drag to the module ports the ones you want to load.
The RPN calculators emulated by my41cx are programmable and include support for 63..319 memory registers and 441..2233 program steps. Note that these values can change, depending on the model you are using.
To help you navigate the program, my41cx sports hotkeys for each button, and you can see all the keyboard shortcuts in a separate window. Moreover, my41cx also provides details about the buttons assigned to the Alpha keyboard in an additional window, to help you identify the button for each command faster.
The my41cx OS X application is functionally equivalent to the HP-41C, HP-41CV, and HP-41CX RPN calculator models. The calculators are also programmable, and you can extend their functionality using HP-41 MOD files.
However, to facilitate the usage on the calculators on a desktop computer, my41cx also includes support for using keyboard shortcuts.
