My Website Monitor creates a systray icon at startup and gets minimized there on close. It runs in the background while you're taking care of your regular PC activities. The icon's color indicates the current status of the website: green for working, yellow for currently checking, and red for not working.

By opening the website's right-click menu, you can view the last site error recorded by My Website Monitor, pause and resume monitoring, as well as edit a site's properties or remove it from the list.
