MultiDock

MultiDock is here to save the day when one Dock just isn't enough for your macOS setup! We all know that macOS only allows one Dock on the desktop at a time, but with MultiDock, you can easily get around this limitation. It's a nifty little app that helps you organize your apps, files, and folders into multiple Dock-like panels.

Organize Your Files with Ease

This app shares some features with its sibling software, ActiveDock. While the panels created by MultiDock aren't exactly Docks in the strictest sense, they work similarly. You can create shortcuts to your favorite items, and honestly, they look almost identical to the regular macOS Dock!

Move Panels Anywhere

One cool thing about these panels is their flexibility. When they're in floating mode, you can move them around freely or pin them to any side of your screen. They'll even sit on top of other windows—except for those in fullscreen mode—just like the classic Dock.

Easy to Customize

Once you add a new panel, it’s super easy to fill it up with shortcuts using drag and drop. You can also rearrange these shortcuts anytime you want! Each panel has unique properties too; you can pick themes and item sizes or even give them names if you're feeling creative.

A Few Drawbacks

We did run into a small hiccup while using MultiDock: moving panels around can sometimes lead to accidentally opening one of the shortcuts. Plus, there isn’t a lock feature that prevents new items from being added or changes in order.

A Great Solution for a Crowded Dock

If your main Dock feels overcrowded and cluttered, having these extra panels is super helpful! Even though they don’t have all the features of the traditional macOS Dock, they definitely bring some useful options to the table.
