Description

MPS Lens

MPS Lens is a cool tool that adds extra features to your Windows setup! While Windows has its built-in tools like Paint and Sound Recorder, MPS Lens takes it a step further with more options. It’s not just about having a nice look; it really helps out when you’re doing things like developing or reading.

Easy Access and Tray Icon Features

You’ll find that MPS Lens starts right in your system tray. If you ever wonder why nothing pops up on your screen, just check the tray area! There’s no big window to deal with here. Just click on the tray icon to either turn on the magnifier or pull up a menu where you can tweak various lens settings and profiles.

How the Magnifier Works

When you use it, a little box shows up near the tray that magnifies whatever is under your mouse cursor. The best part? This box can move around so that your cursor doesn’t accidentally hover over it while you’re working. However, if you want to place this magnifying box somewhere specific for recording, sorry—there's no way to change its position.

Customize Your Experience

You can customize several features of MPS Lens! For example, there are different modes for the magnifier: common, pro, and reading modes. The pro mode even has a grid for easy color picking! In reading mode, there’s a longer magnifying view with guidelines in the middle which makes reading much easier.

Profiles and Settings

You can set how much you want to zoom in—up to 10 times! Plus, you have options for different sizes of the magnifying box. You can save multiple settings under five different profiles but keep in mind you can’t rename these profiles for easier identification.

Lack of Hotkeys and More Features Needed

Every time you want to use MPS Lens, you'll need to interact with that tray icon since there aren't any hotkeys available. Also, while using the color picker feature is fun, it doesn’t let you save or copy colors directly. And there isn’t a built-in tool for taking screenshots either!

Conclusion: Worth Checking Out!

In conclusion, MPS Lens is indeed a powerful tool that’s great for activities like reading or color picking. It could definitely benefit from hotkey support and screenshot capabilities—but its customization options and multiple profiles are worth giving it a shot!
