Month Calendar is a super handy little app made for the Yahoo! Widget Engine. It shows a calendar right on your desktop, which is cool enough on its own, but it also has some neat features like memos! And don’t worry if you’re not tech-savvy; it’s really easy to install and set up.
The widget has a simple frame where you can see the calendar. You can move it around anywhere on your screen, so it’s always in the perfect spot for you.
If you double-click any date, you can write a memo for that day. Plus, there’s a handy context menu where you can back up your memos and access the memo folder whenever you need.
In the 'Widget Preferences' area, Month Calendar lets you set it up to automatically open today’s memo if there’s something written in it. You can even choose how many lines of memos show up in the tooltips. And all your settings? They can be saved to a file!
You can tweak lots of things like background colors, month arrows display, iCalendar events, and even memo text backgrounds. It lets you adjust markers like opacity and size too, as well as text colors for different days.
This little app doesn’t hog your CPU or memory—it's super light! It responds quickly and includes a help file if you ever get stuck. We’ve tested it out thoroughly and didn’t run into any problems like freezing or crashing. Thanks to its easy layout, anyone can figure out how to use Month Calendar without any hassle.
