MonPing is a handy little tool for checking if a host is online or not. You just need to send a simple ping command to either the host name or its IP address. But if you want to keep an eye on multiple hosts at once, this app can really help!
The best part about MonPing is how straightforward it is. It's basically just a user-friendly way to run ping commands like you would in the Windows console.
This application lets you monitor up to five different IP addresses or hostnames at the same time. Each slot has its own start and stop button, giving you total control over the pinging process.
If MonPing gets a response in time, it shows a message right next to the hostname in the main window. If it doesn’t hear back, no worries! You can set it up to send a visual alert near your system tray. So you'll know right away if there's any issue with the connection.
You can also log data for each of those five hosts. All you have to do is check the log box for the host you want. The app will save this info in a text file within its folder, which you can open with any text viewer.
While MonPing isn’t anything groundbreaking, it's definitely useful! It actively monitors up to five hosts by sending out ping requests and waiting for responses. Sure, experienced users might prefer using the command prompt for quicker checks, but MonPing offers an easy-to-use GUI for those who want something simpler.
