The app has a simple and compact interface. Whenever an employee starts working on a project, they just hit the timer button. While that timer runs, Monitask snaps screenshots of their desktop as proof of what they're up to. But don’t worry—if they hit the Stop Tracking button, no info or screenshots will be sent to the employer’s dashboard.

The web dashboard is where employers check in to see how things are going with their team. They can find updates about timelines, notes, team members, projects, and reports right there. If they click on Company Settings, they can tweak settings like how many screenshots are taken and set idle/offline intervals.

Transparency Matters

Some folks might think taking screenshots is too much, but transparency is key here! Employees can check their settings to see an option that says “Notify me when screenshots are taken.” If that's checked off, they'll always know when a screenshot happens.
