MONIT is a handy tool that lets you keep track of your system and network performance right from the Notification Center. This utility fits into your system as a little widget, so you can check out all the stats without cluttering your desktop.

Getting Started with MONIT

When you first launch the MONIT app, you'll see a Welcome panel that guides you on how to activate the companion Notification Center widget. Trust me, both the instructions and the setup are super easy!

Your System's Performance at a Glance

After you've added it to your Notification Center, MONIT will show some cool gauge buttons. These show how much CPU, memory, and disk space you're using. Plus, it'll give you updates on your network status.

Customizing Your Data View

The MONIT widget comes with default settings that display both system and network performance data. But if you'd like to see just one or the other, no problem! You can easily change this in the Info panel.

Diving Deeper into Statistics

At first glance, MONIT only shows general stats for each parameter. But don't worry! If you click on those gauge buttons or network status indicators, you'll get detailed info right away.

Understanding Your System Better

You can check out how much CPU power is being used by either users or the system itself. It also tells you about active processes or threads, current uptime, GPU model, wired memory status (like active or compressed), available physical memory, plus used and free space for all connected drives—and that's not all!

Your Network Insights Made Easy

In the network panel, you'll find useful details like public and local IP addresses for each of your available network connections. Plus, it shows upload and download rates too!
