Mongotron

Mongotron is a handy MongoDB desktop client built on Electron and Angular JS. It lets you connect to your databases, check out the content, create collections, run commands, and even export results to your local drive. Pretty cool, right?

Intuitive User Interface

The user interface of Mongotron follows the OS X Human Interface Guidelines, so it fits in nicely with your desktop setup. Plus, you can choose from three different themes – Default, Atom, or Isotope -UI – which are great for different times of the day.

Easy Navigation

The main window in Mongotron is divided into several areas. This makes it super easy to switch between connections, databases, and collections. Each panel opens in its own tab that stays open until you decide to close it. This way, you can quickly jump between resources and queries without any hassle!

Keybindings for Convenience

Mongotron also comes loaded with keybindings that help you navigate like a pro! You can quickly go back or forth between tabs, open new ones, run queries, or autoformat content without lifting your fingers off the keyboard.

Connection Management Made Simple

Mongotron has a built-in connection manager where you can enter all the details and credentials needed to connect to your MongoDB database. Once you're connected to the Mongo server, you can easily manage databases and collections while listing their content.

Viewing Modes and Command Execution

You can switch between text view and key value view modes within Mongotron's window or execute commands as needed. It supports MongoDB versions 2.0 and later but doesn't work with SSL tunnels at this time.

Exporting Results with Ease

This software creates a pleasant environment for connecting to Mongo servers and managing databases. You get a chance to execute commands and see results in text or key value formats. And exporting those results? Easy peasy!

No Documentation Needed!

A little quirky fact about Mongotron is that it doesn’t come with any documentation. But honestly? The user interface is so intuitive that you probably won’t even need a manual!
