Minecraft Land Generator is a super easy app that helps you create land for your Minecraft Beta SMP server. If you're looking to expand your world without all the exploring, this tool's got your back!
To get started, you'll need to set up your java command line and Minecraft server paths in the MinecraftLandGenerator.conf
file. After that, make sure you configure the server's server.properties
file with the name of the world you want to use. Then, just run the program!
When you launch your Minecraft server, this handy tool automatically creates chunks within a square area of 20x20 chunks, which is about 320x320 blocks. It centers everything around where players spawn in.
If you provide X and Y ranges as arguments when using the program, it will keep launching the server over and over. This way, it edits the level.dat
file between sessions to generate large amounts of land without needing players to explore every inch.
The cool part? The generated land will be close to what you've set for X and Y ranges! Just keep in mind that it might not be exact since spawn points usually aren't right at the edge of a chunk.
You can even use the -x
and -y
switches to change where land generation starts. This lets you center everything on a different point if needed!
