Mime Tool

Mime Tool is a handy little application that’s both lightweight and portable. It helps you encode and decode text and files using the MIME Base64 encoding methods. The best part? It has a simple interface that's super easy to use, so you don’t have to be a tech wizard to figure it out!

Easy-to-Use Interface

The GUI is straightforward and made up of one window split into two sections. You can type or paste the text you want to decode in the top half, while the results appear in the lower half. It’s as easy as that!

Loading Files Made Simple

If you want to load text from files, just use the file browser! Once you select your file, its content pops up right away in the window. You can encode or decode with just a click of a button. Plus, if you want to save your work, it allows you to do that too—just choose where to save it, give it a name and pick an extension.

File Type Support

Now, Mime Tool doesn’t specify all the supported file types, but we’ve found it works well with plain text documents. You can choose between Unicode and ANSI encoding methods. There’s even an option for instant encoding that automatically does its thing as you type!

No Installation Needed!

This entire program is packed into one .exe file. That means you can drop it into any folder on your computer or even copy it onto a USB flash drive! You can run it anywhere without needing to install anything extra on different machines. It won’t clutter your system registry or demand additional DLLs or components either! Just keep in mind that it does create an .ini file so it can remember your settings when you exit.

Smooth Performance

We ran some tests, and everything worked like a charm! There were no freezes or crashes at all—just smooth sailing! We didn’t run into any compatibility issues on newer versions of Windows either, although updates haven’t been frequent lately. CPU and RAM usage? Minimal! Thanks to its user-friendly design, Mime Tool is really easy for anyone to use.
