Microsoft ProClarity Analytics Server version 6.3 SP2 is here to help you stay updated! This package includes all the fixes for both ProClarity Analytics Server and ProClarity Dashboard Server since their public releases. Pretty handy, right?

Before you jump in, remember to back up your original files. It's always a smart move when installing a hotfix or service pack!

Steps to Update ProClarity Analytics Server 6.3 SP2

1. First, extract the service pack files to your computer (make sure it's on your C drive).


2. Next, double-click on PAS63Hotfix2217.exe. Just a heads up, this will restart IIS.


3. Then, clear the PAS Cache—check out the Setup Guide for details.

Updating ProClarity Dashboard Server 6.3 SP2

To get this done:

1. Double-click on PDSHotfixInstaller_6.3.2217.188.exe.

Sharing SP2 with ProClarity Professional Users

1. If you're running ProClarity Analytics Server 6.3, open the PAS Administration Tool.


2. In the left pane, right-click on the Components folder and choose New Component.


3. Select the hotfix components by browsing to PRO63Hotfix2217.xml.


4. Hit OK! The update will show up in your Administration Tool's details pane.

Please note that you'll need to configure PAS security before users can download software from the Analytics Server. For more info, check out the chapter on distributing software in the Administrator’s Guide.

Supported Operating Systems and Requirements

The supported operating systems include:

• Windows 2000 Advanced Server;


• Windows 2000 Service Pack 4;


• Windows Server 2008; and others!

Your hardware needs:

• A Pentium-class processor with at least 512 MB RAM (1 GB recommended).

You'll also need some free space on your C drive—about 60 MB should do it! And remember that color depth must be at least 32-bit.

Your Software Requirements Are Important!
