- Dig deep into your data by checking out tweets by day, hour, tweeters, hashtags, and mentions.
- Customize your views using slicers or DAX formulas—make it look just how you want!
How to Perform a Twitter Search
If you're ready to start searching on Twitter with this add-in, follow these simple steps:
- Open the Microsoft Analytics for Twitter.xlsx file on your computer.
- You can enter up to 5 search queries in the search pane at the top of any worksheet named “Topics,” “People,” “Tone,” or “Details.” Check out the section on search syntax if you're unsure how to format your queries.
- Hit that search icon and watch as your Twitter data comes pouring in!
- Wait until you see a message box pop up saying “Twitter Search Complete.” Pretty neat right?
- Just click OK and then wait again for another message called “Next Steps” to show up. If you get a warning about your query being clipped before this message pops up, don't stress! Just tweak your query a little.
- Once you've got everything sorted out, click OK again!
