Description

CyberMatrix Meeting Manager

CyberMatrix Meeting Manager is a handy Windows app for scheduling meetings with your team. Whether you’re in the office or working remotely, the client/server edition makes it easy for team leaders and members to set up virtual meetings on a local network. This way, everyone stays connected and on the same page when planning tasks.

How It Works

So, here’s how it goes: You start by installing the server component on the computer that will host the planner. Team leaders get to specify an IP address and port number, which allows team members to connect to the server by installing their own client components on their machines. If you want to run both parts on one machine, just remember you'll need to run the setup file twice since they can't be installed at the same time.

Starting Up

When you fire up the server, make sure you do it with admin rights. This prevents any permission issues from popping up later on. Once it's running, an icon appears in your system tray. Double-clicking that icon brings up a configuration panel where you can view connection settings and tweak things as needed. For example, changing the default server name or managing allowed and blocked computers by IP address is super easy.

User-Friendly Interface

The client has a user-friendly interface where all information syncs across clients connected to that server. However, note that info about new bookings or changes isn’t updated in real-time—so there might be some clashes among team members if they’re not careful! To refresh things manually, just head over to the "Bookings" menu or hit Ctrl+R.

Booking Features

When you're adding bookings, you can include tons of details like resources, dates, topics, contacts, notes, attendees—basically everything! You can even send email notifications and create confirmation receipts. Plus, there’s a nifty advanced search tool that helps you find bookings quickly based on various criteria like date range or topic.

Performance Insights

During our tests on Windows 10, CyberMatrix Meeting Manager Client/Server had little impact on performance overall. But we did face some hiccups while trying to keep everything running smoothly. Errors related to server connection settings popped up occasionally—even though nothing had changed since last use! Usually restarting the server fixed these issues.

A Few Final Thoughts

In summary, CyberMatrix Meeting Manager Client/Server offers a solid approach to staff planning over a local network; however, there's definitely room for improvement with its server component. For casual users wanting to customize settings in areas like "File extensions," it might feel a bit overwhelming.
